Michel F. Levesque, M.D. Founder, NeuroGenerationDr. Levesque is a world-renowned neuroscientist and neurosurgeon based at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Neurosurgery at the UCLA School of Medicine and member of the UCLA Brain Research Institute. He is the founder of NeuroGeneration, a biotechnology company pioneering autologous neural stem cell therapies, and Chairman of the Foundation for Neural Repair, a not-for-profit foundation, sponsoring translational research to accelerate human trials using neural stem cells. He has authored over 75 articles in professional journals, contributed chapters to many leading neurosurgery treatises and over 200 scientific abstracts. Patricia Eastman, MHA, Vice President, Corporate AffairsMs. Eastman has over 25 years of experience as a health care executive and as Chief Executive Officer of the UCLA Associated Student Organization, a $75 million business operation. As Vice-President for corporate affairs, she oversees the business development, human resources, and operations of NeuroGeneration. Toomas Neuman, Ph.D. Chief Scientific OfficerDr Neuman obtained his doctorate in Molecular Biology in 1983 from the University of Moscow and completed post-doctoral studies at the Institute of Cybernetics in Tallinn, Estonia. He was a Visiting Scientist at the University of Helsinki, Finland, and Visiting Professor in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at the Max Planck Institute in Gottingen, Germany. He became a Faculty member of the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at the Colorado State University in 1991 and Director of the Molecular Neurobiology Research at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. In 2001, he became Chief Scientific Officer of NeuroGeneration. |
